Mary Jane Lawlor, of New Haven passed away peacefully July 27, 2018 in the Masonic Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late James F. Lawlor. Born in New Haven June 3, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret O'Connell Hogan, Mary Jane worked as a dental receptionist for many years. Beloved mother of Mary Ellen (George) Richetelli, Brian (Lisa) Lawlor, and Kathleen (Christopher) Branca. Sister of the late Margo Pionzio and Joseph Hogan. Devoted grandmother of Christopher and James (Ruth) Branca, George Richetelli, Jamie (Michael) Gozzo, and Jessa, Eddie, and Joey Lawlor. Great grandmother of Nicholas and Noah Gozzo and David Branca. Mary Jane was a loving mother, grandmother, and a loyal friend. Her joy in life was her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always had a warm and welcoming home where everyone felt welcome, even her furry friends. Mary Jane's family would like to thank the staff of Masonic Health Care-Ramage 3 for their kindness and compassionate care they provided. We are ever so grateful to the wonderful staff. It meant so much to our family and friends.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30 in the Monahan, Cox, Smith & Crimmins Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church 29 Wooster Place in New Haven. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mary Jane's name may be made to the Masonic Healthcare Center 22 Masonic Ave. Wallingford, CT 06492.
